About Medicare Advantage Plans
A Medicare Advantage plan, also called Medicare Part C, is an all-in-one plan that combines Parts A, B and usually D to give you more health care options. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services is a federal agency that provides Parts A and B, also called Original Medicare.
Original Medicare covers hospital stays, doctor visits and preventive health care such as screenings and vaccinations. But many people instead opt for a Medicare Advantage plan because it adds dental, vision and hearing services, and typically prescription drug coverage too.
Most Medicare Advantage plans, including Healthy Blue Dual Advantage, also have added benefits like the SilverSneakers® fitness program, health-related transportation, spending money for over-the-counter items, and more.
